Days: What do you think about Quinn being Vivian's son?

I don't like it at all. Seems the writers just came up with this story out of no where. I mean really? Some man was so horrible to Vivian that she just gave up on her own son? Vivian Alamain, the same woman who raised Nicholas, and treated Lawrence and John (when he was still an Alamain) and Philip as her sons? I guess it doesn't matter anyways, since both Vivian and Quinn will be leaving by the end of the year.
