Does a root cannaled tooth extraction hurt?

There is always the possibility of pain with dental extractions. That being said most often pain is not the normal. I would however ask the dentist about some protection against getting a dry socket. This is not a good experience if your pain sensitive. This is not to suggest that such a problem is likely, just avoid letting your tongue from sucking the contents (clotting blood) from the empty socket for a few days. Good luck
