Pickups for project guitar?

okay so im building a project guitar and for the pickups i was thinking of putting ina bill lawrence l500xl in the bridge position and a dimarzio super 2 in the neck would this be a good combo or would i need to change the neck pickup for something else. I mostly play metal so if you guys wanna recommend another neck pu please suggest something that is good for metal
