Why cant we all go forward back too a simpler life ?

what i mean is , i feel our children have been bombarded with crap ! eg . vid games , face book , tv telling us all we must have ! etc,etc. do you really need that automatic egg flipper ? the simple life, i feel is healthy for the soul. thank god for the GFC ! am i wrong to feel this way ? paul from AUS.
