Sorry if it's a little confusing! I work at a Subway restaurant and 2 of my managers are mother and daughter and the highest manager is a friend of that daughter. It isn't fair on you that he behaves like he does. Your mum is most likely very stressed and tired, so this is why she also comes off as annoying. The best advice I can give is to tell your mum how you feel about your brother, and to remove yourself from the room or situation if your brother and his gf and baby are over. If the baby bangs on the computer box, ask the gf politely to remove the baby from where the computer is, or go to another room and do something else. My nephew is 5 years old and out of control. He's my brothers son and I love him to death. I have a really small dog and when ever he comes to my house he tortures my dog. My 14 year old nephew is experiencing some pain and pressure in his upper right molars (left if your facing him, it's his right). I told him it might be a wisdom tooth issue and he didn't embrace that very well because he knows about the process. But I did some research and found out that wisdom teeth don't usually come in until 16 on the early side, so could this be a wisdom tooth problem. I know how difficult it can be to remain neutral in the midst of other peoples family feuds. Just do your best to remain neutral and stay out of it. If he insists on being this way and refuses to let her have contact with the baby, then you should probably stay out of that too. I think that his anger will eventually diffuse, and you'll be able to talk some sense into him - but you have to wait until he's obviously ready to listen to some logic, or else he'll just end up getting mad at you too. If the sister tries to contact you, let her know that your trying your best to remain neutral in the situation, and how difficult it is for you to do that. Make it clear that this is not your doing, you're not backing it, and that it's not your decision to make. Hopefully she'll understand and empathize with the position you've been put in. Whatever you do though, always keep it in the back of your mind that you are going to have a relationship with his family for the rest of your life.

Can I modify a "flipper" ?

I went to the dentist recently and I inquired about replacing a missing tooth I have. Its not a very obvious missing tooth in the front but you can see I'm missing one when I smile hard. One option I had was doing replacement surgery which was very expensive and out of my price range. With that said the doctor suggested I try a "flipper" which basically is like a denture just for the top of my mouth with one false tooth to cover the gap where my real tooth was. I was happy at first buying the thing because it was not too expensive and I could get my smile back. However, after putting the flipper in my mouth it was very uncomfortable and makes it hard to talk. Its kind of like having a retainer in your mouth.It has a piece that looks like my gums with two pieces of wire on each side holding it on my teeth. I wonder if there may be some way to modify the thing by cutting it where I need it to be or something. I don't know if my dentist can do it for me or what but I haven't been using it because its just a pain to deal with. If anyone has info that would be useful for this let me know.

My sister is 23 and she has two kids because she decided when she was 20 that having a child was a good decision despite being financially unstable, not to mention with a man who had no job. Now three years later she works a lousy two days a week at a nursing home doing CNA work while her boyfriend works late afternoons/nights at a fruit packaging plant making minimum wage. She just got a new job at a coffee shop (I have no idea why considering she would make more money if she picked up hours at her job where she makes more then minimum wage.. oh wait I do because she's freaking lazy) and is getting five days a free daycare from the state. She also receives WIC benefits and food stamps. It really really pisses me off. Here I am 19 years old in college paying out of my *** to be there and I can't even find a minimum wage job because of people like her who go out of there way to get a second job making low wages so they can get free money from the government. Never the less I'm a college student and she's a high school dropout! Whenever I bring it up to my family they get mad and say I'm a *****. It also really bothers me that she's putting my niece and nephew in daycare so many times a week, I don't think she realizes that she's giving up time with them. I feel so sorry for my nephew?

My nephew is 17yrs old and he has a great girlfriend that he adores completely, he is a very good looking young kid and a few girls around the town always try and cause trouble between the two of them. I have two red ear slider turtles. One is bigger than the other, and more dominant. The bigger one is doing this thing where it faces the little one, and opens its mouth really big (like its growling) and flaps its two front flippers extremely fast. (Long question) Offering 100k lower than asking price on a house?

My husband and I have been looking for houses in a certain subdivision. Most of the houses are going for 190k to about 215k being the highest. There was one house that sold 9 months ago, which was the highest in the subdivision in the past 12 months, which went for 239K. But mainly for the past 2 years, these prices have been very consistent. My question is, a house just went up for sale in the same subdivision for 345k!!! All the houses in the subdivision are very similar and kind of your typical cookie cutter house, but the inside of this one has been completely updated. I know they can put whatever they want for asking price, but how do they justify the comps? Would it be wrong to offer them a little higher than that highest price house, say 250k? What's really realistic? I found that they bought the house about 1.5 years ago for 210K, but I couldn't even say what money they put into it, because it has nice upgrades with hardwood floors everywhere, granite, new carpet, new stainless steel appliances, etc. So to all experienced real estate agents and house flippers, what do you think the sellers are going to accept since their asking price is so off base?

My nephew is 5 years old and out of control. He's my brothers son and I love him to death. I have a really small dog and when ever he comes to my house he tortures my dog. I'm getting my left incisor crown taken out, it's got an infection above it, I need a bone graft and an implant put in. How much can I expect to pay for this? The bone above the tooth is pretty badly decayed. The process will be: Make a mold of my mouth, remove the crown, do a bone graft and I'll be using a "flipper" for 6 months while I have the bone graft healing. Then they'll put the implant itself in, let that sit for 4 months and then finally put a crown on top of that. If anyone has had something similar to this please tell me.

I was at the beach today and i found a washed up animal. it looked like a manta ray/stingray but it did not have a stinger. Its tail was thicker and had a flipper at the end. The animal was kind of thick with the sides curled in a bit. Thinking this might be a shark but the mouth was on the bottom of the body.

I feel that capitalism in it's current advanced form will spell the end for mankind. When the you look at the needs of todays society capitalism stands in the way of the solution. Global warming being my a great example. Why don't we have hydrogen cars for example? we know we're destroying the earth and we know a good many of the solutions yet we're held back by the constraints of our economic system. building stations across north america where people can purchase hydrogen is unimaginable today. but why? with all of our technologies today a lot of work can be performed with minimal manning. look at all the people out there who work pointless jobs, a generation of burger flippers? pumping grease into the veins of a continent. our people are not out performing the tasks we need, people are not out there tackling our problems on the horizon. it's time to think about an economic system which won't spell the end of us. we need to regulate more and ensure our planet survives us

it's probably a good idea to consolt a vet, or even a dog specialist that deals with dog's behaviors, has your nephew ever stared your dog right in the eye, that is a way of telling another dog:FIGHT! my best idea for the sake or your nephew and your dog, is to make sure that he is all ok by the vet(shots, and making sure there is no problem with your dog such as maybe a sliver, or even some sort of infection) and also to consolt a behavior specialist about your dogs "relationship" with your nephew. Can the other person feel the bottom retainer when kissing you?

I have a flipper/retainer and I was just wondering like if you tongue kiss someone can they feel it. I mean it is the bottom retainer. well , i have a brother who's girlfriend is quite insane i think , wel i personally think there's something mentally wrong with her , anyway when our family first met her we thought she was alright till her and my brother had to move in with all the family , it didnt take long till we all started realizing how she really was , it all started when one night she grabbed my two nephews who were playing in the lounge where her , my brother , my partner , my sister and i were all sleeping , she dragged them into my sisters room , told my sister to look after her kids then she slammed the door and started on me and my brother , my sister ended up coming out of her room and started yelling and arguing with the sister inlaw , by then all my family were all in the lounge trying to understand what happened , my brother ended up taking his girlfriend outside but when they were walking out his girlfriend turned to my sister and yelled '' I HOPE YOUR BABY DIES ! ! There is always the possibility of pain with dental extractions. That being said most often pain is not the normal. I would however ask the dentist about some protection against getting a dry socket. This is not a good experience if your pain sensitive. This is not to suggest that such a problem is likely, just avoid letting your tongue from sucking the contents (clotting blood) from the empty socket for a few days. Good luck

Okay, well my names Carson, I met this boy named Travis in 3rd grade who bullied me which included getting beat up and a lot of name calling and just drama, this lasted all the way threw middle and high school. When I was 16 me and his sister had sex and had a baby. (Were NOT togeather now, never were) My parents kicked me out when they found out and I moved in with Travis cause I had nowhere else to go really. Travis was 18 I was 16 so he made me drop outta school! So it was me, my son, him and his brother that living togeather! Travis tried to take me to court to take my son away but he lost,I have custody of my son and he's happy living where he's at and that's with me in a stable home with my aunt,uncle and his/our cousins but will Travis ever actually go away? We got a protection order against him that's good for 3 years! He can't come near anyone in the house hold. So far things are going really good for me for once in my life. But will he go away for good you all think?

Can I use crazy glue to fix my retainer?

It's kinda like a retainer, it's called a flipper. It's basically a retainer with a fake tooth attatched to it (i got my front tooth knocked out) and the tooth broke off of it a week ago. The dentist used acrylic and bonded it on again, and the acrylic started to dissolve. This morning the acrylic was almost gone and it felt like it was two seconds away from snapping off, so I took it to the dentist and he re-inforced it with crazy glue. Now the crazy glue wore off. Should I crazy glue to do re-inforce it again? They don't want to make a new one because i'm getting a permanent fake tooth next week, but this thing isn't going to last at all. I've already had it since november >_>

I spend so much time babysitting my nephew because my sister has to work, but I have a job too?

I hear u and i understand; however, from a woman who had children young it made me feel better to have my babies with family. Daycares are not bad but they aren't great either. So you probably ease there mind A LOT! So I will say thank you and it also grooms you for the future. Maybe they can't afford daycare,I mean it does cost your arm legs and neck to pay for it. If they can afford day care tell them to pay you and you can quit your other job otherwise they will have to find other means. BUT remember there are those who have knowone so know that u may be called upon now but your nephew may be the one taking care of you when you get older. Trust me I talk to A LOT of retirees and thank GOD for neices and nephews they always tell me. You know its funny becase my children LOVE their aunt and my neices and nephews LOVE me.

This sounds like a troubling and stressful situation. If your brother is causing so much stress, I feel that you should try to discuss the issue with your mum. It isn't fair on you that he behaves like he does. Your mum is most likely very stressed and tired, so this is why she also comes off as annoying. The best advice I can give is to tell your mum how you feel about your brother, and to remove yourself from the room or situation if your brother and his gf and baby are over. If the baby bangs on the computer box, ask the gf politely to remove the baby from where the computer is, or go to another room and do something else. If you don't have to be in a situation, don't allow yourself to be put in it. Hope that helps :)

Sexually charged behavior of 5 year old- inappropriate?

This is my first question here, and I'm hoping I will get some insightful answers. This will be lengthy and I apologize, but please allow me to explain the situation in full. I am 23 and am currently visiting my brother and sister- in- law for a couple of weeks. They have a five year old son who is a wonderful child, and generally very enjoyable to be around. However, a couple of days after I arrived, I was looking through my suitcase up in the guest bedroom when my nephew entered and closed the door behind him. I greeted him and he asked, "Want to play grown ups?" I said sure and asked him how you play. He started out by telling me we needed to go to the grocery store, preapre dinner, do the laundry. I went along with the game. Then he said it was "time to go to bed" and motioned for me to lie next to him on the floor. I obliged, not thinking anything of it, until he reached under my blouse and touched my breast. I quickly removed his hand and sat up but tried to remain calm as I know he's just a small child. I told him that was not at all appropriate and that it makes people feel very uncomfortable when they are touched in a private area, and to never do that to anyone again. He apologized to me, and then told me not to tell his parents because it would make his mommy cry if I did. Later in the evening, I did end up mentioning what happened to my sister-in-law, just to get her take on it and to make sure I had handled the situation appropriately since he is her child. She became very upset, and told me that this was very troubling because over the past several months this kind of thing has been an ongoing problem. He has been reprimanded twice at school for inappropriate touching of little girls. One incident was a kiss on the lips (that the little girl did not consent to apparently) which is probably rather innocent, but the second incident was his touching another little girl between the legs (also against the girl's will). He has an eight year old sister who has complained of having her nightgown lifted by my nephew even after repeated protestations from her. He has been told over and over and over again by teachers and his parents that acting on these body curiosities that he's having is just not appropriate and must be curbed. I completely understand that children will indeed explore things like this, but when does that type of behavior become excessive? I was compelled to ask for advice after playing with him alone again today. This time he told me we were going to play "boyfriend and girlfriend" and I told him that would be a silly game for us to play, because I am his aunt. He got off the topic and we began playing "superheroes" instead, but at one point during the game he approached me, took my face in his hands and pressed his open mouth against mine in a shockingly suggestive manner. I again tried to keep my composure and I told him that he cannot kiss me that way, that children and adults don't kiss each other that way. He responded with, "But I didn't touch your private parts this time." Perhaps I am over-reacting to this because I don't have children of my own, and I'm not a child psychologist, but his response very much alarmed me. He seems to have a very keen awareness of the impropriety of his behavior, but continues to do it anyway, and even begs me not to tell on him. I don't know what to say to my brother and sister-in-law, I don't know what to say to my nephew, and I'm really not sure what to think of the whole situation. I want to respond and act appropriately considering he is a child, but I do not want to have another incident where I am fondled, or made to feel uncomfortable by my own small nephew. I just don't think the behavior is completely innocent anymore. Am I wrong? Thoughts?

Does Ivy tech Community College offer full classes at Lawrence campus?

The Central Indiana region of Ivy Tech has two main campuses. The "downtown" campus, also called NMC, is at Meridian and Fall Creek Parkway. We also have a campus in Lawrence as you mentioned. The Lawrence campus does offer many classes that the downtown campus does but it really depends on your major. I can tell you that we have a free shuttle that runs in between campuses and it's only a 20 minute commute. Good luck!
